Panther Mock Trial recently competed at the Opening Round Championship Series run by the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA). The American Mock Trial Association hosts 32 regional tournaments, eight opening round championship tournaments and a national championship tournament each season. Around 700 teams from over 400 universities and colleges across the country compete in these tournaments throughout the season.

This year, the team earned a bid to ORCS during their regional competition with a record of 6-2, a CS of 19, an OCS of 73.5, and PD of +24. The team flew up to Atlanta, Georgia on April 10th to begin preparation for the competition on the 12th and 13th. Before competition, the team not only prepared for trial but was able to enjoy some of the local area in Atlanta. Although the team did not earn a bid and advance to the National level of competition, there was great effort and determination shown by all members.

The team thanks the coaching staff for continued support and dedication. We look forward to using the off-season to continue practicing and furthering our skills and abilities.
